Born in India and nurtured by a family who encouraged her artistic spirit, Shieital Sonawane’s passion for art blossomed at a young age. Winning the “Balkala-Ratna” award further fueled her creative fire, leading her to pursue a degree in architecture.

After gaining experience in India, Shieital’s journey took her to the United States, where she delved into the complexities of womanhood through her evocative series, “Legacy of India” and “Narayani Bhaava.” These works resonated deeply with audiences, garnering widespread acclaim.

Driven by a desire to empower children in her homeland, Shieital returned to India and founded “Creative Kuteer,” a haven for young minds to discover their artistic voices. Through vibrant programs like “Find Your Roar,” “Rangostav,” and “Wall of Sankalp,” she fosters confidence, self-expression, and social awareness.

As a mother to the youngest author in her family, Shieital’s dedication to nurturing creativity extends to her own home. She champions the power of storytelling and imagination, inspiring her daughter and countless others to embrace their unique voices.

Shieital’s unwavering commitment to women empowerment and Indian heritage led her to establish “Jhammak,” an online platform that celebrates traditional and ethnic art. Her recently published book, “Chitr-Reshha,” further solidifies her position as a champion of creativity and cultural expression. As a practicing architect at the “I’m Dzin Centre” in Bangalore, Shieital continues to weave art and design into her projects, bringing heritage and beauty to the forefront.
